FRISCO, Texas, Jul 18, 2001 /PRNewswire/ -- Comstock Resources, Inc. (NYSE: CRK) ("Comstock" or the "Company") today announced that on July 17, 2001 the Board of Directors appointed David K. Lockett to fill a previously vacant seat on the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Lockett is a senior executive of Dell Computer Corporation and is currently Vice President of Dell's Small and Medium Business group. Mr. Lockett will be a class C Director of Comstock and will serve on the Company's audit committee.
