Comstock Resources, Inc. Announces Latest Drilling Results at Double A Wells Field

FRISCO, Texas, Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Comstock Resources, Inc. (NYSE: CRK) ("Comstock" or the "Company") today announced it has completed production testing of its latest two wells in its Southeast Texas drilling program at the Double A Wells field in Polk County, Texas. The W. T. Carter & Bro. # 10 well was drilled to a total depth of 14,196 feet and was completed in the upper Woodbine formation through perforations from 14,017 feet to 14,097 feet. The well tested at 6.5 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 406 barrels of condensate per day (8.9 mmcfe per day) flowing on a 20/64 inch choke at 3,200 pounds per square inch flowing tubing pressure. Comstock owns a 32% working interest and is the operator of this new well.

Comstock's Carter Battise #4 well was drilled to a total depth of 14,200 feet and was completed in the upper Woodbine formation through perforations from 13,954 feet to 14,005 feet. The well was tested at 3.4 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 140 barrels of condensate per day (4.2 mmcfe per day) flowing on a 18/64 inch choke at 500 pounds per square inch flowing tubing pressure. Comstock owns a 32% working interest and is the operator of this new well.

To date, Comstock has drilled ten successful wells in or near its Double A Wells field in Polk County, Texas. These ten wells had an average per well initial production rate of 6.1 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalent per day.
