Comstock Resources, Inc. Announces Successful Well at Double A Wells Field
FRISCO, Texas, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Comstock Resources, Inc.
(NYSE: CRK) ("Comstock" or the "Company") today announced the production test
results of the W. T. Carter Brothers #14. This well was drilled to a total
depth of 14,180 feet and was completed in the upper Woodbine formation through
perforations from 13,892 feet to 13,944 feet. The well's completion was
tested at 8.6 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 677 barrels of
condensate per day (12.7 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalent per day)
flowing on a 26/64 inch choke at 3,075 pounds per square inch flowing tubing
pressure. Comstock owns a 49.5% working interest and is the operator of this
new well. This well is the fifth successful well drilled at Double A Wells
field in Polk County, Texas since Comstock started its redevelopment of the
field in 1999. Comstock is currently drilling the Vastar Fee #1, a 17,500
foot exploratory well testing the Company's Ross Prospect south of the Double
A Wells field.
