Comstock Resources, Inc. Announces Two Successful Wells at Double A Wells Field
FRISCO, Texas, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Comstock Resources, Inc. (NYSE: CRK) ("Comstock" or the "Company") today announced it has completed production testing of its latest two wells in the Double A Wells field in Polk County, Texas. The Trostmann #2 well was drilled to a total depth of 14,650 feet and was completed in the upper Woodbine formation through perforations from 14,410 feet to 14,436 feet. The well tested at 8.2 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 144 barrels of condensate per day (9.1 mmcfe per day) flowing on a 14/64 inch choke at 8,000 pounds per square inch flowing tubing pressure. Comstock owns a 59% working interest and is the operator of this new well.
Comstock's Champion International C #4 well was also a big success. This well was drilled to a total depth of 14,325 feet and was completed in the upper Woodbine formation through perforations from 14,074 feet to 14,200 feet. The well was tested at 7.0 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 708 barrels of condensate per day (11.3 mmcfe per day) flowing on a 22/64 inch choke at 3,300 pounds per square inch flowing tubing pressure. Comstock owns a 63% working interest and is the operator of this new well.
Comstock has two drilling rigs active in its redevelopment program at the Double A Wells field and is currently drilling the W. T. Carter & Bro. #10 and the Carter Battise #4 wells.
